Are you accepting new clients?

Yes, I am currently available Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8 am – 6:30 pm for new individual appointments. The practice is closed Friday – Sunday. All inquiries will be responded to within 48 hours or 2 business days.

What forms of payment do you accept?


Cash, Credit / Debit Card, HSA/FSA: Payment is due in full at the time of our session each week. Packages are due in full prior to beginning group work. Please consider what is financially sustainable when deciding to commit to weekly therapy. I have modest sliding scale availability, and you’re welcome to explore my resources page for additional community clinics that offer further reduced and low-fee ($0 – $75) therapy services. Are you in network with my insurance?

No, I am not in-network with any insurances, nor do I offer single-case agreements. This allows me to provide the highest quality of care and not disclose your treatment progress notes to any third party insurance. If you would like to explore using Out-Of-Network behavioral health benefits, you’ll have to confirm the following information before our consultation to know your out-of-pocket cost. I will be able to provide you with superbills each week to submit for reimbursement. My NPI # 1861984080

  • Payer ID:  This 5-digit number confirms where I would send your electronic claims. 
  • Plan year start date: This is when your deductible will reset since insurance policies renew annually.
  • Deductible: This is the out-of-pocket cost you’ll need to meet before insurance begins to reimburse for services. 
  • Allowed amount: This is your insurance carrier’s predetermined cost for reimbursement. I recommend asking your insurance’s allowed amounts for CPT Codes 90791 Integrated assessment, 90834 Psychotherapy 45 minutes, and 90837 Psychotherapy 60 minutes.
  • Coinsurance:  This is the percentage your insurance will reimburse for sessions after deductible is met.

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes, I offer HIPAA compliant video sessions to support increased access to quality, affirming therapy, and the same platform is used for coaching services to offer end-to-end encrypted video and chat messaging. Phone sessions are also available for those experiencing screen exhaustion, as needed. Texting and email is reserved for scheduling purposes only to maintain the therapeutic boundary. There’s no difference in rates for telehealth coaching or therapy sessions, so please confirm your insurance reimburses for telehealth therapy sessions, if applicable. 

I want to explore group therapy. What’s the format?

Group therapy is often more financially accessible than individual sessions, and can be just as profoundly impactful for people wanting support around specific topics. I run closed groups in 12-week cycles, which means for 12 consecutive weeks, the same number of group members will gather in support of each other and themselves. Group members will sign and commit to agreements prior to starting group, and this cycle will explore navigating identity-based oppression and skill-building to improve mental health well-being through the last 3 months of the year. Feel free to reach out with any questions or desires for future group cycles including length and topics.

How long is each therapy session?

The complimentary consultation is about 30 minutes. Individual sessions are 45 minutes or 60 minutes. Groups are 75 minutes.

I encourage clients to meet with me weekly at the start of our relationship to cultivate a strong foundation for our work together. Since treatment goals are customized for each client, we can speak further about scheduling during the in-person consultation. Consistency is absolutely key to this work, so please keep that in mind if you’re considering therapy!

What’s your cancellation policy?

Short answer: Built on mutual respect!

Potential clients:
I understand how overwhelming the therapist search can be in NYC, and I hope to alleviate some of your anxiety by offering complementary consultations and a streamlined scheduling process. I’m flexible with rescheduling due to emergencies or conflicts if you reach out, but no-shows to any consultation will not be offered a rescheduled slot. “No-show” means you’ve not contacted me at least 48 hours before our scheduled appointment or responded to my phone call at the time of the consult.

Current clients:
A minimum 48 hours notice is required for all cancellations to avoid a missed session fee. If a phone or video session is possible, I can work with you to reschedule another day that week. The fee will still be collected if less than 48 hours notice is given. Therapy is a commitment, so a pattern of 2+ consecutive cancellations will release your reserved appointment time until we can collaborate on a better time to meet. If for any reason you find I’m not a good fit for you, that’s okay. I can provide referrals to help you get connected with someone that feels helpful for you!

What if I take a break from therapy?

Like the tides, the need for therapy can ebb and flow as you cultivate self-actualization practices in your life. I encourage you to let me know if you’re ready to complete our therapy together. Former clients who have ended treatment on good terms may schedule monthly check-in sessions, as needed. Good terms just means I’ve not been ghosted and there’s no outstanding balance.

People take breaks from therapy for a number of reasons. While I try to be as flexible I can for current clients, I cannot guarantee the same schedule or reduced fee if you decide to return to treatment, so please keep that in mind. I also cannot reserve more than 2 weeks off should you decide to request a leave of treatment.  

For coaching clients, once we complete desired goals, you may want to receive support in other life areas, or transition to a therapeutic relationship to process feelings. Feel free to let me know as your needs evolve, and when it’s time to end our work together.

Are our sessions confidential?

Yes, except in the following circumstances.

​You have a right to private and confidential therapy sessions.

As a mandated reporter, I am legally and ethically bound to break confidentiality by reporting if there is imminent danger to yourself or if you credibly intend to harm others. I take your privacy very seriously and will make every effort to collaborate on a crisis plan with you to ensure your safety.​

I am also obligated to report suspicion of child abuse, elder abuse, or abuse of developmentally dependent adults.​

Courts may subpoena your records. If you are involved in any litigation, I will make every effort to not release your protected health information without first consulting with you.​

I will also have to share diagnosis and some treatment information with insurance companies for reimbursement if you request using out-of-network benefits to pay for therapy.

Finally, if you ask me to coordinate care with other providers or communicate with anyone who is not you, I’ll just need you to sign a consent/information release form for those entities.

It is my policy to preserve the therapy space by relaying information directly to clients. If parents or third parties require that I communicate with them for insurance or billing purposes, we may not be a good fit.​
